During a journey to northern Benin, Cécile's path crosses that of a young African mother who, in panic, puts a baby in her arms… Cécile adopts this African child and Lancelot grows up in France. The year he turns 7, she goes back to the land of his birth with him and tries to pierce the mystery that surrounded his abandonment.
